Love this - not many people know you can pay to go up the inside of one of the legs. A crazy spiral stair case where you squeeze passed people. Fantastic view. Fully recommend.

Holds the 'Shame of Edinburgh' - so called as we ran out of money building it waaaay back. Great view and a cool place to walk about. Also a classy restaurant up here but booking required.

Lovely little farmers market. You can walk down the water of leith from my place and pop out there for some snacks and then walk back up through the city

Search for this and you'll find the closest entrance to my place about a 15 to 20 minute walk away. Then you can walk it down to Stockbridge, or all the way down to Leith. Well worth it.

This is a great area for food and drinks. Great little shops and cafes and nice to walk around. Down the hill slightly is an amazing cheese mongers! IJ Mellis - check it out if you like cheese!

Edinburgh is a safe city
I sometimes forget that some people have come from places where it maybe isn't so safe to walk around at night. Edinburgh is not like that. In all my time here, I've never seen anything bad happen. People are really chilled out and it's safe to walk around at night without worry.
Verkehrsmittel
Buses are great here
Buses are super frequent and on the main buses (lothian) you can pay with your credit card (if you have contactless). Otherwise, you'll need the exact change. One way is around £1.60 and a day ticket for as much travel as you want is around £4.00
