Lacock village is mostly owned by the National Trust. And id attractive for its un-spoilt appearance. Lacock Abbey contains the Fox Talbot museum which holds what is possibly the oldest photographic negative known. And the building was used for filming parts of Harry Potter.

In 2018 the Sunday Times listed it as the best place to live in the South West. It has a fabulous market once a month filling the town centre first Sunday of the month March to December.

Generally a quiet place to take a walk round the lake or through the woodland. Cafe by the lake. Parking not charged but an honesty box in situ.
