Here, I suggest some really nice places that someone could eat in the neighborhood, places that I have been to and enjoyed a lot in the past few years, since I also live in this area. All of them are the utmost 10 minutes on foot away from the apartment.
One of my best taverns in Thessaloniki. Really nice place, gorgeous dishes. It has changed the history of food in Thessaloniki. Strongly recommend.

Inside the Bit Bazaar, among other taverns lies this unique tavern with very delicious dishes. I love the carotballs!!! Also very nice if you want to sit outside. Strongly recommended.

Really nice place in the area of Tsinari, Ano Poli. The food is really delicious, in the summer they serve vegetables from their own garden!!! The tavern has a very nice terrace which makes it ideal also for the summer.

Very nice place with nice quality drinks and food. My favorite place for spring and summer nights, when you want to enjoy a drink and some meze. Strongly recommend

Thessaloniki is well known for its patisseries. There are so many, that everyone specializes in a different kind of sweet. Here I suggest some really good patisseries, both modern and traditional ones, that are near the apartment, not more than 10 minutes on foot.
Delicious hand made ice cream using sheep milk. They produce ice cream only during the hot months. You can also find there traditional sweets. I prefer revani and orange pie with a ball of ice cream on top. But what they are mostly famous of is the hand made sheep yoghurt, creams and milk rice pudding.

Verkehrsmittel
The fastest way to move is by taxi or on foot.
During the past few months and due to the problems in the public transports, only half the buses are operating, so they are usually very rare and packed with people. If you are moving in the centre of the city, you can go everywhere on foot, the distances are quite small. Also consider taking a taxi. For small distances it costs 3.50 euros. Taxis from the airport to the center cost 20 euros and from the apartment to the railway station 4 euros.
