he whole area is really good if you're a food junkie, as Mathallen (a food court/marked) is a close neighbor.

The interior, logo, menu, etc. we're cute and fun, and being a graphic designer, I appreciate that stuff. I don't regret it because Illegal Burger was SO GOOD. The burger was delicious and the fries are a must have!

Drinks & Nightlife

Sundays on Blå is an institution. Situated by the river - next door neighbor with an art school which students have decorated the alley - there is something about Blå that creates a welcome breathing space. The dance floor is always alive and the mingling is nice in the outdoor area. On bigger events there can be a long line, so make sure to come early or buy your ticket in advance.

The price for the room (which takes a maximum of 9 people, but there's different sizes) was 320 nok/h - divided on six persons it was very resonable, 45 nok each. They have a great database of songs! Bar prices are usual Oslo style, 80-something for a 0,5 l beer. The location is spectacular - right beside the river - and the outdoors seating is colourful and have infrared heating + rain protection. The staff is sweet and friendly. They don't have their own kitchen, but you can order food from the neighbouring Rice Bolle and get it delivered to Syng with no additional cost.

The interior is really cool. Vines and plants growing everywhere--you feel more like you're in a garden than a cocktail bar. They also have a whole wall at the very back where they're growing all the plants and herbs they use in the cocktails. It's very centrally located so perfect for an after work drink for example. It was full of people at 20:00 on a Friday. Probably the busiest time of the night.

The building of the National Theater is one of the most beautiful in Oslo. Do not miss it. There is a flower-like fountain in front of it. Opportunity for nice photographs. Very nice during the night when floodlit. Highly recommended.
