It is a local NGO which serves as a platform for the local guides to offer their tours fair trade style. At the same time you're contributing to sustainable, regeneration community programs. They also have a small shop where you can get locally produced coconut oil, natural bug repellent which actually works, natural sun screen which does not harm our coral reef, books on nature and culture, and so much more!

Jaguar-Rettungszentrum
A great wild animal rescue center project.
The Ara Project between Punta Uva and Manzanillo has worked hard over the last years to reintroduce the great Green Macaws which were extinct. You will experience beautiful sightings of these magnificent birds when you visit the project in the afternoon hours after 4 PM.

This is an easy access park with good infrastructure and lots of wildlife to spot. For snorkel tours into the protected coral reef of the park you are required to book a licensed guide for example at ATEC.
