Life is great!! I'm friendly, communicative, hospitable person. I studied economics and I speak English.
We had a fantastic apartment right in the heart of Zagreb close to some excellent local restaurants, shops and sights including a 1 min walk to the main square and cathedral. Irena was a fantastic host, she collected us from the airport, was polite, helpful and a generous host. She was happy to spend time with us and talk - this was my second stay with irena and I will definitely back for a 3rd. Thanks
Irena was very warm and friendly. The room was really well located and the presentation was excellent, it had everything you could want. I would stay there again.
Excellent location, super modern equipped, and extremely clean. The owner is friendly and willing to help. Our stay was beyond good, and we re looking forward to returning there again!
We enjoyed our stay in Irena's apartment complex very much. It was as pictured and described.
We enjoyed both our stays at Irena's place in Zagreb very much. The location is wonderful if you like being right in the center of the old part of the city, with lots of fun cafes and nightlife, which means it's possible you'll get street noise. If you need a quiet room, ask if you can have one not facing the street, This is not a private home: it's a building remodeled with many private rooms and suites, more like a little hotel than a Bed and Breakfast place.
Our room was small but very clean, comfortable and modern -- exactly as described and pictured.
The first time we stayed with this host, check-in was smooth. It seems that Irena does not live there, nor does the woman who works for her, the manager of the place, Stanka. The second time we came to check in, late at night, their computer system had broken down and they had no record of the reservations their guests had made. Irena had indeed given us her phone number to call, and we did, but communication was a problem: Irena's English is minimal and my Croatian is zero. Fortunately Stanka, the real manager of the place, speaks excellent English and was able to get to the apartment and let us in. She was genuinely distressed about the confusion.
It turned out that Stanka is a totally delightful young woman: she did everything possible to make our stay pleasant and comfortable, even brought us a gourmet breakfast and provided excellent advice on things to do and places to eat. In the afternoon, she took us out to a sidewalk cafe, where we chatted and I learned a lot about life in Croatia. We will certainly remain friends.
A word of warning: for check-in, you really need a cell phone that works in Croatia. And be aware that not everybody in Zagreb speaks English: the feeling is great, the people are kind, the city is safe -- but communication can be difficult.
Irena is a wonderful host! The room was very very clean. And just as described exactly in the city center! We enjoyed the two days there very much. I cannot think of any better place to stay in Zagreb.
Thank you for everything!!!!!
The location is really great, in the very heart of Zagreb. I stayed five nights during a work trip to Zagreb, coming to the place only to sleep, and felt comfortable while there - my guests were nice and helping and overall the whole transaction pre-arrival and during my stay was very smooth.
The only thing that surprised/disappointed me is that the room that is shown here is not at all the room that I got (it is not even in the same place I guess). My room was definitely not 25m2 big and there was no water boiler in there. Also the furnishing and general atmosphere of the room, while sufficient, were just not as nice as in the photos.
Overall this is a wonderful room! Its very close to various major sights that you may want to see on your visit to Zagreb and is within a small walking distance of the main square. Likewise, if you arrive late in the evening ( like we did) there are plenty of restaurants, and street vendors still open on the street right next to the apartment.
The room itself is clean, well decorated, comfortable and TV equipped. The only downside is that it is a bit tricky trying to find the room at night: you have to go through the main gate/doors, a garage, a courtyard, into the actual building, down a hallway, and up a flight or two of stairs to find the room. Once there, we found our host to be very welcoming!
The reservation was canceled 12 days before arrival. This is an automated posting.
This was great, the place was immaculate, the location superb, less than a minute from the main square in town Jelacic, which i affectionately call Jelly. Whenever I needed anything it would be there in an instant. In fact I had no need to call on them at all unless for toilet roll or other small things, and it was nice and quiet in the evenings and night when you would want to relax.
Very pleased and much better than the last accomodation i had stayed in Zagreb, would recommend this over a hostel.
