The perfect combination of stunning views and bushy terrain through Sydney Harbour National Park in North Sydney. One way, the route spans about nine kilometres, but the 18 km out-and-back is really worth it. At Dobroyd Head, the highest point of the trail, you can enjoy nearly 360-degree views of Sydney. If you’re lucky, you might spot a whale. You can start at Manly Beach or the Spit Bridge. If you only want to go one way, bus to the Spit and catch one of Sydney’s famous ferries back to the city from Manly. The ride, with the wind in your hair and the views around the headland of the Opera House to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, is incredible.

Catch a ferry from Circular Quay to Manly. Buses to Circular Quay run very regularly from any stop on Oxford Street. The bus runs through the CBD and terminates at Circular Quay. From the Ferry there are great Views of Sydney Harbour Bridge, Sydney Opera House, Fort Denison, and out past North Head and South Head out to the sea. Once at Manly you can walk along the harbour beach, or walk through the shops to the very famous long main beach, which looks out to the sea. There are walks that you can take through some bushland as well. Catch a return Ferry to Circular Quay.

The ferry ride to Manly is a must - it is the cheapest way to enjoy the Harbour. Once you arrive in Manly wander down Manly Corso towards the famous Manly Beach. If you want to walk some more turn right on the beach and walk to Shelly Beach and have a well earned drink at the Boathouse.

Buses and ferries can be accessed from the wharf. Taxis are also located across the street.

Must catch the Manly Ferry - always a treat, even for the locals that catch it to work - never get tired of the best way to travel to the city
