A dynamic and lively spot in the centre of the city – great for people-watching, relaxing with a drink in one of the many pavement bars and restaurants, or going to the top for an excellent panoramic view of the city from above! Officially known as the Metropol Parasol, the locals refer to this enormous urban sculpture as “Las Setas” (The Mushrooms), for their form. It’s the world’s largest wooden structure. There’s also a Roman antiquarium beneath the plaza, which was discovered during the construction of the sculpture.

This is claimed to be the "largest wooden structure in the world". For only 3 euros, you can take a lift to the mirador at the top to get the most fantastic panoramic view of the entire city. Best visited just before sunset.
