Not really a zoo, but has two awe inspiring live exhibits, butterflies and tropical birds. Lots of fun kid activities. Short walk from Lincoln Park Zoo, houses the winter farmers market every other Saturday morning from Oct. thru April. By North Pond, a great birding spot in spring and summer.
Walk the trails around the museum! Nice pond with plenty of wildlife as well as walking distance to the lake and zoo!

“This is a hidden jem and you don't even feel like you are in the city anymore. It's kind of hard to find if you don't know where you are going. (Near the parking lot entrance of the zoo on Fullerton)”
