Absolutely the number one thing to do in DBQ. It's fun and a wee bit scary but it's very safe. There's a candy store with ice cream at the base or a horse and carriage ride if you want a tour of downtown Dubuque

A fun inexpensive visit! Ride a elevator originally designed in the mid 1800’s up to the top of the bluff that overlooks the city. Visit the local shops at the bottom and on Bluff Street. Beautiful views of the city! 8AM to 10PM

The 9th wonder of the world. A must see while in area. From this vantage point you can see Illinois, Wisconsin and Iowa.

This is a must if you have never been to Dubuque before. I believe it is listed as the shortest steepest railroad in the world and it is only a short block from our rental units on Summit St. I doesn't cost much and it takes you right down the bluff to the shops and other downtown sights.

4th Street Elevator is a pretty cool little thing to do while you are in Dubuque. Old Cable car that takes you up to one of the highest points in Dubuque to overlook the Mississippi.
