The Avenue is a great lunch or dinner place if you are taking on sites in Manteo (about 40 minutes north). Serving a wide variety of menu selections- including vegetarian and vegan and in-season local seafood. They are slightly upscale without being pretentious. The chef makes many items in their kitchen- including excellent mixers for mocktails (and cocktails)! If you can grab a porch table, bonus.
