Because of the grandeur. And because you'll want to wander around glorious Cotswold stone town of Broadway and that makes for a thirst. Prices are high and what you get ok, but the hotel is a wonderful location for lunch or if you're cheap like me; a coffee or glass of wine.

“Potting Shed restaurant is my favourite - a bit further to drive, around 30 mins, but worth it. Combine with a visit to Broadway and Broadway Tower.”

Park
“Spetchley has been home to the Berkeley family for over 400 years and successive generations have lovingly collected rare plants, shrubs and trees from around the world, creating a wondrous garden of many rooms and vistas that appeal to all ages and tastes. Surrounded by ancient parkland, deer park and lakes, this historic garden is set in the wonderful Worcestershire countryside with far reaching views to the Malvern Hills.  ”
