“It is a fabulous artwork by world renowned architect and artist Frederisch Hundertwasser, who lived in Kawakawa for 25 years until his death. He gifted the artwork to the local council and renewed the toilets with his artwork and architecture. We are very proud of our 'loos'. ”

“At the end of this road is a stunning view of the heads. Nice loop walk down to the beach on the left, walk around the heads on low tide, up DOC path to return. ”

“This is the "go to" in town if you're after a pub food style meal and environment (otherwise go for The Pioneer up the road in Waipapa). "OK" meals, drink selection and service. ”

“A must do visit to Rainbow Falls. A 4.3km walk (about an hour) one way starting at the Rainbow Falls car park and ending up at the Kerikeri Basin where one will find parking and picnicking areas. A short easy and beautiful walk through native bush. There are three viewing platforms at the top of Rainbow Falls. There is a historic weir that supplied the first electrical power to the early Kerikeri township and the remnants of the hydro-electric station are still visible. An information panel is situated at the rest area. Dogs are not permitted on the walking track. Ensure your vehicle is locked and any valuables are out of sight before leaving for your walk.”

“A site of great cultural significance to New Zealand's indigenous and European people. This is where the country's bi-cultural nationhood was first formed wit the signing of a treaty in the late 1800s. ”
