Histoires d’O is extremely hip, inspiring and vintage. This brasserie attracts young folk with its passion for the old-fashioned while simultaneously leaning towards the modern and comfy. A tapas bar with the most colorful foodie creations, but serving totally awesome burgers, hotdogs and sushi as well, Histoires d’O offers something for everyone. Histoires d'O definitely deserves a place in the list of top spots! A breathtaking view, tasty casual food, a selection of excellent music and the easy-going vibe characteristic of this seaside town. But when it comes to cocktails and G & T's, Histoire d'O is truly unbeatable. Outside on the pleasant terrace or inside in the stylish vintage-inspired brasserie, Histoires d'O is always a great idea!

Try the Fresh Fish and Typical Shrimp Croquettes Thanks to its seaside location, Ostend is well-known as one of the best places in Belgium to try fresh fish recipes and other typical seafood dishes. A great brasserie to do so is Histoires d’O. I chose the ‘sliptong’ (common sole flatfish) for lunch and also had a few bites of the popular shrimp croquettes. I would encourage you to try either of those two dishes! The restaurant is open year-round and the outdoor terrace is a lovely spot for a refreshing drink in summer.
