This is a great local museum, but hours are limited- it's only open Thursday-Sunday, noon to 4.

Yea I know. I didn't know that this existed either. Ypsilanti will surprise you with a lot of different historic landmarks. This museum is not the largest museum I've ever been to but it is still pretty neat and informational.

If you like fire trucks, you won't want to miss this museum. Part of it the restored original Firehouse built in the late 1800's and set up that way. the new addition has firetrucks and the largest collection of related items anywhere. they also do educational tours for schools and groups. It is on the East end of Depot Town on Cross Street. It's a favorite place for visitors to this area.
