Attractions and amenities include large picnic areas, ski trail, playground, playing fields, indoor meeting rooms and picnic shelters, and wildlife feedings stations with indoor viewing areas, called Windows on Wildlife. In 2003, The National Center for Nature Photography opened on the site, rotating exhibits from prominent nature photographers. Many distinguishing characteristics of this charming park include its location in the Oak Openings Region, northwest Ohio's largest concentration of native dogwood and a restored tallgrass prairie. The park opened in 1953, made possible from the revenue from a parking lot bequeathed by Arthur J Secor. The land had once belonged to the Jacob Wolfinger Farm, and a family cemetery is still maintained onsite. It is the only cemetery in existence in Richfield township.
