I suggest to enter this museum for the view from the terraces. During sunset it is fantastic. There is also a nice bar where you can sip an aperitivo while looking at the skyline of Rome.

Castel Sant'Angelo, also known as Hadrian's Mausoleum, is a monument of Rome, located on the right bank of the Tiber opposite the pons Aelius, a short distance from the Vatican, between the Borgo and Prati districts; it is connected to the Vatican State through the fortified corridor of the "passetto". You can buy tickets directly on the place or on the official website.

The Mausoleum of Hadrian, usually known as Castel Sant'Angelo (English: Castle of the Holy Angel), is a towering cylindrical building in Parco Adriano. It was initially commissioned by the Roman Emperor Hadrian as a mausoleum for himself and his family. The building was later used by the popes as a fortress and castle, and is now a museum.  A stone's throw from St. Peter's Square, it is connected to the Vatican State through the fortified corridor of the "passetto". The castle has been radically modified several times in the Middle Ages and the Renaissance.

5 minutes of walk from home. You can visit the Castle also inside with or without guide. In ancient times, in case of danger of siege to the Vatican the popes took refuge in the castle through the passage called "Passetto". The "Passetto is about 800 meters long, you can see it right next to home and if you visit inside the Castle, you can walk on it.
