Since in the age of romance, in addition to the collection of ethnographic written material, narrative narratives and poetry, attention was paid to the collection of objects of material culture: clothing, costumes, home inventory, musical instruments, rituals during the eighty years of the Museum's activity, more than 85,000 items from all parts of Croatia and from neighboring European and non-European countries.
