Just pass by for a cod croquette or a cod slice with a small caña (beer). To eat them standing up and keep going.

You can only have cod "croquettes" here, but they are amazing. Order a wine or a "caña" (a small beer) and have a "croqueta de bacalao" and you'll have an amazing mid-morning snack to keep you going.

[I've not been personally] Casa Labra is right by the Plaza de Sol, in the very centre of old town Madrid. It's a casual tapas tavern. Perfect for a quick pit stop with wines or beers and a little tapas.
