An education centre where children and adults can learn about the endangered Rothschild’s giraffe. It’s home to a number of rescued Rothschild’s, who live on the grounds and who you can feed by stepping up onto a high platform. It’s hours of fun for kids. It’s great to have this interaction and learn about their personalities—they’re very aloof! The Giraffe Centre is about a 10-minute drive away from the David Sheldrick Wildlife Trust, so you can combine the two in one morning. I’d recommend going to see the giraffes before the elephants, as the Giraffe Centre can get busy in the afternoons.

The Giraffe Center is located in Lang'ata, approximately 20 kilometres from my place. It was established in order to protect the endangered giraffe, that is found only in the grasslands of East Africa
