Try to go around 8am or 9am to avoid tourist crowds. Spectacular views along the famous route 1. Must see: Bixby Bridge, Garrapata State Park, Mcway Falls and the scenic coast.

A day trip to Big Sur is well worth the drive. Many good eateries when you get there and the views are spectacular
