Unlike any other museum in the state, it collects California art and only California art, and ranges across all periods and styles, nineteenth-century to present-day.

Best kept secret and Laguna gem. Always an interesting exhibit highlighting the artists and history of California. Check their website for cultural Thursdays. First Thursday is free, followed by artful conversations and music.
