Don't go to Dinosaur Park if you are looking for accurately depicted dinosaurs (you will be disappointed) but the wonky dinosaurs make the park somehow more charming. This free park is a great place to let the kiddos burn off some steam during the day or watch a beautiful sunset with your honey…
Close by, off Quincy Street. See the 7 dinosaurs, walk the steps, take a hike or drive by for a panoramic Rapid City view.
Fun for kids but also a nice place to eat takeout and see beautiful city views.
A fun little park that kids will love at the top of Skyline Dr. Lots of dinos are spread out to see along with great views of the city. While you’re up there, take the entire Skyline Drive for beautiful views of the city
This is an oldie but a goodie. Panoramic views of Rapid City for the adults, kitschie oversized dinos for the kids!

“Every kid that grew up in Western South Dakota has a childhood photo of them standing in Yogi Bear's picnic basket. This place has been a local favorite forever and for good reason! This free park has lots of swings, slides, and green space to play in but also references story book and Disney characters throughout the park. For a nominal fee, there is also a train and carousal ride. It is absolutely worth a visit for families that have kiddos 10 and under. ”
