Some local trails that are close by and therefor easy to get access to by cab, or a short drive are Sugar Loaf, Freshwater Bay, and the Ocean Sciences Centre which takes you back into town so is a one way cab ride.

The East Coast Trail goes right up our lane (ignore the marker at Pippy Place on the map)...just take the Father Troy Trail from the end of the lane down to Torbay Beach then continue on as far as you want (Flatrock, Pouch Cove, etc.).
