Since 1965, this restaurant has thrived in a gorgeous, many-roomed historic adobe building on a beautiful property and is decked out with authentic northern New Mexican décor and artwork. It received the 2016 James Beard Foundation’s America’s Classics Award, and its co-founder, Florence Jaramillo (“Mrs. J”), is recognized as a State of New Mexico “Culinary Treasure” and Woman Restaurateur of the Year. It is a wonderful place for food, margaritas, and traditional music for a celebration or after a day of visiting nearby sites!

A must for traditional New Mexican food. Over the past 50 years, the restaurante became famous for it’s signature dishes of spicy guacamole, hand rolled tamales, blue corn enchiladas, carne adovada and chile rellenos.
