West Yellowstone is the little town that has the "western" entrance to Yellowstone National Park. West Yellowstone or "West" as we say around here is just over one hour away. It is a cute little town with some cute shops, restaurants and fun things to do. (ropes course, Playmill Theater, Wolf Discovery Center, IMAX)

You are only about an hour and a half from West Yellowstone which is the town that sits on the west entrance of Yellowstone National Park. Whether you visit the park or not, West Yellowstone is so much fun to walk around. Make sure you check out the schedule for the Playmill playhouse. They do live local theater shows that are designed to entertain everyone.

West Yellowstone is a town in southern Montana. It’s a gateway to Yellowstone National Park, known for the huge Old Faithful geyser and the Grand Canyon of the Yellowstone. The park is home to wildlife like elk and bison. In town, the Grizzly and Wolf Discovery Center offers the chance to get close to bears and wolves.
