Great laid back restaurant to have a relaxed long lunch or dinner. The Jícara entree is delicious! They have a pretty fresh menu and offer veggie options!

La Jícara is not just a restaurant but also an alternative cultural center, with films, live music and a bookstore selling titles from independent publishers. The courtyard restaurant does well-prepared fare from pepper steak to chicken curry, carrot cake, hummus or goat-cheese salad, with many vegan dishes. Also Mexican craft beers and varied mezcals.

Wonderful cafe with lots of vegetarian options, plus an independent book store and tiny organic and natural foods market for snacks to go: try the vegan cheeses and kombucha. Run by a cooperative of local women who are involved in social justice projects.

La Jícara - Another good spot for the vegos and meat eaters to fill their tummies together. Not just a restaurant but a bookstore and cultural centre as well. There is normally something happening here, like guest speakers, live music and screenings. Check out their timetable and enjoy the show.
