Das Café neben der Chocoate Factory ist das beste in Northland! Neben süßen Köstlichkeiten auch light lunches mit Wein. Sehr zu empfehlen!
For a sweet treat Makana confections for hand made chocolates and natural temptations. Just opposite The Old Packhouse Market on kerikeri Road.
Makana Chocolates & Café. An attractive and bustling café for a rather expensive imported croissant and coffee or for a more kiwi and perhaps more child-friendly option visit the Kerikeri Bakehouse for a pie and a drink further down the hill on Kerikeri Road. Don’t miss out on the Makana Chocolate…
If you like chocolate then this is a must visit. There is a cafe alongside too. Open 7 days 9-5:30 this wee gem gives free samples, has a huge range and you can view the chocolate being made through glass windows.

“This is a lovely little winery with great restaurant open Mon to Sun 10am - 5pm - Breakfast 10am - 11.45am; Lunch 10am - 2.30pm (Platters available after 2.30pm. Bookings recommended). The outlook is lovely and you can wander the gardens.”

“Cathay Cinema & Café We are blessed with a wonderful independent cinema here in Kerikeri. Called the Cathay Cinema it shows arthouse and independent movies and in school holidays, current and popular children’s movies. The cinema has a good café adjacent which serves morning and afternoon teas, lunches, brunches and dinners.”

“What an awesome place to take children. Although I must say I enjoyed the visit as well. The staff are so friendly and are happy to share information about the different parrots and birds. One can also get up close and personal by feeding the parrots with seeds and nuts. My visiting 14yr old grandson was not interested in going but once there, he didn't want to leave and wanted photos taken of himself with a parrot (who had taken a liking to him) in the walk-in aviary. Would definitely recommend this place.”

“A must do visit to Rainbow Falls. A 4.3km walk (about an hour) one way starting at the Rainbow Falls car park and ending up at the Kerikeri Basin where one will find parking and picnicking areas. A short easy and beautiful walk through native bush. There are three viewing platforms at the top of Rainbow Falls. There is a historic weir that supplied the first electrical power to the early Kerikeri township and the remnants of the hydro-electric station are still visible. An information panel is situated at the rest area. Dogs are not permitted on the walking track. Ensure your vehicle is locked and any valuables are out of sight before leaving for your walk.”
