E un'area molto caratteristica, con paesaggi indimenticabili in cui sono presenti molto grotte con tracce di insediamenti che partono dal neolitico fino al tardo Novecento It is a very characteristic area, with unforgettable landscapes in which there are many caves with traces of settlements that start from the Neolithic to the late twentieth century

If you come in spring and Autumn, it's a good idea to go to Iazzo Gattini and ask for a guide tour around this park. Some hiking tours are 2/3 hours long but they're worth it. This park is full of rock churches decorated with interesting frescoes of Byzantine culture. From the park you can enjoy stunning panorama of the whole Sassi area which is on the other side of the canyon. There are also remains of a primitive burial, and some traces of ancient Neolithic village. (In summer I recommend it in the early morning or late afternoon because it's too hot and there aren't any trees)
