Pigeon Island, a 40-acre islet connected by a causeway to St. Lucia’s west coast, is a beautiful nature park which reflects a thousand years of history. Pigeon Island was a Carib settlement, a pirate’s hideout and the site of one of the strongest fortifications on St. Lucia. There are marked trails with a number of historical sites, like the remains of an 18th-century British fort and Fort Rodney, where the Admiral for which it is named spied on the French ships from its strategic viewpoint.

A historical Saint Lucian landmark left over the British & French colonial settlers. This hilly island has a lovely beach that is all joined via a short causeway. Must-see!

Nice place for a picnic. Magnificent view after a cool walk up Fort Rodney. Great place for spending the day.

Located in the North is the famous Pigeon Island. With two beautiful hikes, private beaches and ruins amongst the green space, Pigeon Island is a great place to learn a bit about Saint Lucia's rich cultural history. You can also grab a drink or a bite to eat at either of the two restaurants: Jambe de Bois and Barnacles
