About the same distance as to Nanaimo General. Fortunately we haven't had to use it, but it's been recommended.

This (former) hospital is nearby. You can get there by vehicle in under 5 minutes. Walking is more like 20. Cycling, about 10. Currently contains The Views, residential care for seniors with dementia, as well as the Cottage Thrift Shop and, twice yearly in April and October, the Rotary book sale.

The best small hospital in BC! Just a bit biased as my husband is one of the administrators. You don't want to visit here unless you really need to, though! Stay safe!

Just in case or maybe you are visiting someone who is staying overnight in the hospital. We are right across the street.
