This is a must. Amazing views of the pools and my favorite hike up the mountain to a waterfall.

Great place to stop along the Road to Hana. Be careful! The terrain is very unforgiving. Please be sure to check the conditions and make sure it is open before going.

Driving to Hana is a full day commitment. Make sure to leave before 7am so that you aren't getting to Ohe'o Gulch too late in the day. If you hike all the way to Waimoku Falls its almost a 5 mile round trip up a fairly good climb. This is a moderate hike that should be done by active people. Not recommended for anyone with health issues. Remember that at many locations on Maui are far from emergency services and it often takes many hours for help to arrive.

This has to be my favorite place on earth. Swimming, jumping, black sand beach, hiking.. If you take the Road to Hana, keep going to see the Pools!

One of the best, easy hikes on Maui, the Pipiwai Trail takes you through a stunning bamboo forest that ends at 250-ft Waimoku waterfall. Explore the ancient history of the Kipahulu region at the park.
