Here you can learn about the history of the city of Vaasa founded in 1606. And why the center of Vaasa was moved to it's current place after the big fire in 1852. There is a section in the museum, called Terranova, exhibiting the world heritage - the archipelago of Vaasa. The land rise is a world record - 8 mm per year. This is due to the ice age 10.000 years ago.
