A true treasure, the site of an ancient confraternity, contains the most precious series of Carpaccio paintings.

Venice was and is a very multicultural city.

A comparatively little known place, a good exemple of a Renaissance Venetian Scuola ('association, place of meeting'), with its original paintings and furniture still in site. This one has a gorgeous collection of primary works by Vittore Carpaccio, with the histories of St. George and Jerome. In the background of the religious stories, charming landscapes of Venice as it was some centuries ago, sparsely built and with wild vegetation. Fabulous!
