Playa de los lances can be found at the far end of Tarfia. It’s a kite and windsurf hotspot and great for long beach walks. Do check the wind before heading here, if it’s very windy it’s not ideal for sunbathing! Windguru is a good website to check the wind at any beach. Good places to park/ have a drink or eat are ‘Waves Beach Bar’, ‘Hotel Dos Mares’, ‘ Chiringuito Arte Vida’ and ‘Hotel Hurricane’. Gaia Beach Club, Waikiki and Balneario Beach Club are also good beach bars along Tarifa Beach (main town).

This is the main beach in Tarifa. Very long sandy beach onshore conditions when winds from south to north west. This spot you are officially forbidden to kite in summer which is from 15.06. until 15.09.

This is the main beach in Tarifa but the parts west/north of town outside the city center usually is called Los lances north. Less restrictions for kite then the beach in town.

Kitesurf spot. Poniente (wind from the west) and Levante (wind from the east). Be careful, with levante (east wind), it's offshore. Security boats in Los Lances North. You can buy rescue tickets in the shops (Bull Shop, Ozu for example).
