This is the heart of the real Portland Chinatown. The downtown Chinatown was never where the Chinese locals resided (the Japanese citizens were in that area until they were sent to internment camps in WWII). SE 82nd is where it is at for local Asian culture and cuisines, and Fubonn is a big grocery store at the center of it. Nearby there are lots of affordable foot massage places (that massage your back as well) and hot pot restaurants, and Chinese medicinal shops.

This Asian Mall has everything: silk dresses, feng shui supplies, an ENORMOUS grocery with fresh seafood crawling around, big bales of udon noodles, and crates of champagne mangoes, statuary, kites and other treasures. Be sure to go past the grocery and check out the smaller bakery, it's fantastic!
