El tradicional barrio Marshan de Tánger, en el cual se puede pasear y visitar andando las tumbas fenicias, el café Haffa, la medina y la Kasbah. También se puede disfrutar de un agradable paseo por "Markala", el nuevo paseo marítimo de la ciudad. Tips: 1. Restaurant "La Posoda" about 3 mins walk away beside the "big rock" that looks out over the sea has the BEST tapas and paella ever - delightful experience night after night. 2. Sit on "big rock" and look out over Tanger/Spain - maybe bring a picnic there too. So nice. 3. Enjoy the rooftop at Monica's - breezy, calm, relaxing. 4. A simple walk into the medina via the Kasbah makes it all too easy. Get to the "big rock" and carry on, winding your way downhill into the ancient area.

Chefchaouen's 15th-century clay-brown kasbah contains a lovely Andalusian-style garden, a former prison, the small Center for Research and Andalusian Studies and even smaller art gallery (only open during exhibitions). One of the fortress' 13 spires, the Portuguese Tower, named after the Portuguese prisoners who built it, features plaques tracing Riffian history and provides exquisite views of the medina.
