The museum itself is free but be prepared to pay for parking. The permanent collection includes works from ancient Egypt, Greece, and Rome; paintings by such Old Masters as Rembrandt, Gainsborough, and Turner; decorative arts, African and Asian art; and works by modern masters such as Matisse, and Picasso.

One of the countries best museums! Admission is free and there is so much to discover here. Worth at LEAST a few hours. Oh- and don't sleep on the art museum cafe. The food is GREAT and very well priced. It's like an expensive restaurant meal at a cafe price. (Parking does incur a cost, but you can also park in the neighborhoods nearby for free and make a short walk over.)
