Historic theatre showcasing wonderful performances/plays by Maui On Stage. We highly recommend catching a show here if they have one playing during your stay. Dinner at Umi & cocktails at Wai Bar beforehand :).

“Amazing place in the heart of Wailuku to jump start your day with a health boost. Acai bowls, juice, smoothies, etc. I never leave without ordering a health shot!”

“The Tasty Crust hands down takes the title of the “neighborhood diner” of Maui. You won’t find a lot of frills, no fancy menu or décor, but you will find some of the most delicious comfort food and traditional diner menu favorites, but with an island spin. The Tasty Crust is a legend on Maui, and has even been showcased on Anthony Bourdain’s “Parts Unknown.” We recommend coming for breakfast and trying their famous Banana Pancakes, or the very popular island favorite, the Loco Moco. The Loco Moco consists of white rice, topped with a hamburger patty, a fried egg and gravy. If you want to get away from all the tourist and dine where the locals eat, it can’t get more local than the Tasty Crust.”

“If you have never been to Hawaii and are not familiar with the culture than this may not be the place for you. That being said if you frequent Asian Karaoke bars you may enjoy this little dive. They have a full bar and excellent food. All the locals enjoy the same things. It is family style so you order a large plate to share with the table. The Kim Chee Fried Rice is outstanding! I love the Steak Bites that come out sizzling on a hot plate, and the Honey Walnut Shrimp is really popular with kids and adults alike. You can't beat their prices and portions. 20 minute walk or 5 minute drive. ”
