The church of Salento, originally built in 1850, is a peculiar building because it is made entirely of Ceroxylon wood from the columns to the roof, which is a wood rarely used in construction. At the beginning of the 20th century, the location of the church was changed and the temple was built with two towers; however, after several earthquakes in the 1920s, it was rebuilt with a single tower. Its style is a mixture of Colonial Spanish and Colombian Naif that combine very well.
