Most of the fruit and veg of Cape Town is grown here. So it's our "breadbasket". But it's constantly under threat of having the land reassigned for lost cost housing. It's worth a visit just tpo see the scale of the fruit and veg fields and to buy some fresh produce and to talk with the farm workers a bit.
