Europe Square is located in the center of the Old City near Rustaveli Avenue. It is named in honor of Adjara's entry into the Assembly of European Regions. It is surrounded by main streets with quaint buildings decorated with mosaics, bas-reliefs and stained glass windows. Installed in 2007 on the square, the 130-meter gilded statue of Medea symbolizes Georgia's connection with the European world. Next to it is a small cozy fountain, running under the jets of which, you remain completely dry. There are many cafes and restaurants on the territory of the square. This place is increasingly becoming a venue for mass cultural events in the city.

Batumi Europe Square is located on Memed Abashidze Avenue in Adjara, Batumi. It is also called Era Square. The square, surrounded by XIX-XX century architecture, is one of the city's attractions. Here stands a statue of Medea, which holds a symbol of the glory and cultural development of old Colchis - the golden fleece. Surrounded with great architecture, Europe Square is in the middle of the city that you can find many cafe's, restaurants , bookshops and etc and walk around 10 mins to anywhere in Batumi. Europe Square (previously known as Era Square) is one of the central places you will inevitably see once in Batumi. It's the main get together spot for any city celebration, be it Batumoba (Day of Batumi), Gandagana folk festival or a Christmas market. The fans of photography and architecture will stay there quite a while, because every building looks very bizarre and unusual. The coolest one is the Astronomic clock tower, where you can check not just the time, but the position of the sun, the moon and the planets. The monument of Medea holding the Golden Fleece reminds on the fact that the Black Sea coast of Georgia was a part of the legendary kingdom of Colchis
