It is the ancient cemetery of Athens. Probably not the most famous sight seeing in Athens but certainly one of the nicest! You can see it without even entering it, though I would definately suggest to pay the ticket- I do it myself from times to times. You can note how Christian churches evolved in order to suppress the old religion. Also a great place to walk and enjoy a beer without being in a bar. Especially during the hot nights you can feel the lower temperature in this lowest part of Ermou street!

Check out the Athenian nightlife by taking a walk to Keramikos!!! Also metro station in the public square

Kerameikos Metro Station is 300m from AAV Penthouse, 4 min walk. This is a direct line to the airport and to Piraeus port. This is a direct line to Syntagma square and Monastiraki.

Blue line Metro Station 10 min walking distance from home! One minute ride and you are in Monastiraki, three minutes ride and you are in Syntagma. From there, you can switch to the red line and get to the Acropolis in just 3 minutes. It goes straight to the airport in 45 min. It works everyday from 5:30am till 12:30am, Fridays and Saturdays until 2am at night. The airport line runs every half hour and it costs 10e per person. IN-CITY FARES: 90-minute ticket: 1.40€ 24-hour ticket: 4.5€ 3-day tourist ticket: 22€ 5-day ticket: 9€
