Worth a trip and near the Cathedral, as well as near the Merchant City area for great cafes and a walk around.
This is one of the few museums of religion and art. It is a beautiful, bright museum and enjoyable experience. It is beside Glasgow Cathedral.
The museum, which opened in 1993, is located in Cathedral Square, on the lands of Glasgow Cathedral off High Street. It was constructed on the site of a medieval castle-complex, the former residence of the bishops of Glasgow, parts of which can be seen inside the Cathedral and at the Peoples Palace…
The museum explores religion from all over the world. Salvador Dali's painting Christ of Saint John of the Cross was formerly displayed here (now at the nearby Kelvingrove Art Gallery and Museum).
