The Michigan Theater is more than just a movie theater, its a one-of-a-kind historic landmark that makes movie-going in Ann Arbor extra memorable.
Great classic movie house showing great films, home to the film festival and art films. Just across the street from Ann Arbor’s iconic mural of famous figures. More films at the nearby State Theater is also great, recently updated in original Art Deco style.
The Michigan Theater is a fully restored 1900's movie theater with multiple viewing rooms. Popular movies as well as indie films are always showing. This is the perfect activity for a rainy or cold day.
The Michigan and State Theaters are fantastic. Historic buildings with concerts, independent films, international films, classics, speaker series, you name it and they have it!

“Even if you only go to look at the incredible variety of cheeses, meat, oil, vinegar, and breads etc it’s worth it. The service is fabulous and the sandwiches are terrific. Pricey but worth it. ”

“Take a walk through the beautiful "Arb". It's filled will flowers, trees, and grassy fields for picnicking in the spring/summer or sledding in the winter. Definitely one of my favorite places to relax or watch a production of "Shakespeare in the Arb".”
