. The St. Ignatius Mission was built in the early 1890's. This Catholic Church is unique because its walls and ceilings have 58 original paintings by Brother Joseph Carignano on them. These murals are unique in that they depict biblical scenes populated by Native Americans.

The St. Ignatius Mission was founded in 1854 by Jesuit priests, and has stood in its current location since. There are 58 original paintings on the ceiling and walls by Brother Joseph Carignano.
