Hoan Kiem Lake is a natural body of water located in the Old Quarter, close to Hanoi's city center. One of the city’s most notable landmarks, the lake is a great place to get a glimpse of the city’s rich and diverse culture. Hoan Kiem Lake (Turtle Lake) is a central feature of Hanoi and is a popular hangout spot throughout the day with locals and tourists. Ngoc Son Temple sits on a small island in the center of the lake and linked by a bridge, makes a beautiful background for a few photos. Around sunrise and sunset, this area becomes especially busy with joggers, couples enjoying the relaxing views across the lake, and the elderly practicing Tai Chi and line dancing. Hoan Kiem lake is heart of Hanoi, located in central of Hanoi From Saturday to Sunday prohibited all vehicles entrance to this area only for peoples walk around lake and sightseeing, every people can dance or can sing etc...At the Weekend Hoan Kiem Lake is very exciting

It is considered the heart of Hanoi. At weekend from Friday night to Sunday night, streets around Hoan Kiem Lake would be vehicle-locked. You can walk freedomly without hearing to much horn sound as usual. A lot of street performance happens here during weekend as well.

The streets around the lake are free of traffic every evening on weekends. Street performances, artists and musicians are gathered together and the people around you are celebrating.
