The Strand is our local walking/running/bike path along the beach that heads for miles in either direction (Palos Verdes to the South, Malibu to the North). It's a long, straight, and paved path that you can access almost anywhere in the South Bay. From the townhouse, head straight down Grand Avenue toward the water (West) to the very end of the parking lot and you will eventually run right into it.

The Strand at Manhattan Beach is a local popular favorite place to go to unwind and chill at the beach. Great for surfing, dolphin Watching, fishing off the pier, taking photos under the pier, people watching, biking, walking, picnicking, rollerskating etc. tons of restaurants and shopping spots walking distance from here. Lots of volleyball nets set up. Metered parking is being limited by restaurants extending their dining to the street. However, there's garage parking but go early to beat the crowd.
