Enjoy nature and adventure at Brockholes Nature Reserve. You’ll find something for everyone, from walking trails to an adventure play area with a climbing forest to a zip wire. Do some shopping or grab a spot of lunch at the unique visitors centre which floats above one of the reserves many lakes. Since 2007 Lancashire Wildlife Trust has been working to create habitats that will encourage lots of wildlife to visit the reserve, so there are lots of different species to look out for on your visit. Take a cycle along the Guild Wheel Cycle Route and soak up the beautiful scenery of the reserve. Brockholes is a 250 acre nature reserve and floating Visitor Village. The floating Visitor Village has stunning views and incorporates a restaurant, ice-cream parlour and a gift shop. An interactive welcome centre tells you about the wildlife you could see on-site. Brockholes hosts activities and events throughout the year for people of all ages.
Whether it’s on our iconic floating Visitor Village or out on our 250 acre nature reserve, Brockholes is full of Nature Moments! Located just off the M6, Brockholes is the perfect location for a family day out.
