If you like to wander gardens this place is for you! It was once an artist community, so you will see beautiful sculptures through out your travels. It was once a rice plantation owned by Aaron Burr's Son-in-Law. They also hold concerts on the lawn.
"Brookgreen Gardens is a quiet joining of hands between science and art." Archer Huntington, 1931 A must see!
Brookgreen Gardens has been named one of the top 10 Public Gardens in the US. This is a great family destination with plenty to do for all ages.
Beautiful sculptures, gardens, restaurant. Christmas time is a beautiful time to visit for the Night of 1,000 lights. Absolutely stunning!
Great garden area and house tour. You can also take a very affordable (if I recall correctly, something like $8 per person after you're already in) boat ride through the channels and learn a lot about a big part of South Carolina's history
